We circle back today to the place we began our Advent journey:
For to us a child is born,
(Isaiah 9:6, English Standard Version)
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
His life was foretold by the prophets and hoped for by many generations.
He entered His creation and shared His love for all by giving His life as an example and a sacrifice for us.
He brought joy to the world and to all those who believed in Him.
He made peace with God possible, and gives the peace of God to us, calling us to be peacemakers.
May you find your hope, love, joy, and peace in Jesus – Messiah, Emmanuel (God with us), Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
